To meet the needs of in-demand automotive technician skills, the program is designed to provide hands-on experience with Volvo Workshop Information Systems, brand equipment, parts and vehicles.Upon successful completion of this 12-week advanced automotive technician school curriculum and 12 month of on-the-job automotive dealership experience, you will earn the title Volvo Quality and Certified Associate Automotive Technician. ​The Volvo Automotive Technician core job description:  (After 12 weeks of automotive technician instruction and formal automotive training & Dealership OJT):Works as a team member to support Automotive Service Department operations.Documents work orders to include: full description of automotive repairs requested, completed and automotive parts required.Informs automotive Supervisor/Adviser of unexpected delays of completion.Ensures all work is completed to automotive manufacturer standards.Test drive vehicles, Interprets Volvo, and related diagnostic equipment.Conducts routine automotive service and preventive maintenance on all types of vehicles.Completed vehicle check lists and identifies areas of concern.Completes new vehicle preparations.Removes and installs vehicle components. In accordance with Volvo automotive standards.Keep work areas clean and in accordance with standards of safety and the disposal of waste.Ensure uniforms and PPE are worn correctly, at all required times.Continues education as a Volvo Quality and Certified Associate Automotive Technician.
